Sharon Jones Ticket Giveaway for Members

Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings (pictured) along with Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears will be performing at Sound Academy on Thurs May 12 and TBS in association with Collective Concerts wants you to be there! Gladstone Hotel First Thursday: Rick Fines – Free Admission

The Toronto Blues Society presents the best in local blues talent the first Thursday of each month at The Melody Bar in The Gladstone Hotel. There is no cover charge and each performance begins at 8:30pm. The next performance is on Thurs May 5 and features Rick Fines (pictured). TBS 26th Anniversary

Mark your calendars! Monarchs Pub (Delta Chelsea Hotel – 33 Gerrard St W) will host the TBS 26th Anniversary celebration on Thursday May 19. There will be no cover charge, and the featured performers will be Shrimp Daddy and Jerome Godboo (pictured)! Join us for cake, door prizes and more exciting member benefits! Show at 9pm.

Blues Talent Search Announcement

The date for the Toronto Blues Society Talent Search is set for August 18 at Nathan Phillips Square! If you are a local blues musician/band submit to become one of six performing finalists through either Sonicbids or by mailing a bio, photo, CD and cheque for $10 to the TBS office. Submissions will be accepted beginning on April 26 and run until June 17.

Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival

On June 2-5, the Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival is back with a fantastic line-up including: Downchild (pictured), JW Jones, Alfie Smith, Paul James, The Kat Kings, Chris Antonik, catl, David Gogo and Trouble & Strife, Johnny Max, Lily Frost, Shakura S’Aida, Swamp Cabbage, Al Lerman, Anthony Gomes, Kollage, Rick Taylor, Jerome Godboo, Michael Pickett, Danny Marks, SAB & The Family Band, Fraser/Daley, Julian Taylor, James Anthony and more! www.objf.org
