FAMILY MEMBERSHIP – $70/year – Same privileges as Charter membership for a maximum of two adults and two children under 19.

IBC Fundraiser
Suzie Vinnick (solo) and Shrimp Daddy & The Sharpshooters (band) will be representing the Toronto Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. On Saturday January 12, a fundraiser will be held at The Delta Chelsea Monarchs Pub to raise funds to help these artists cover the cost of travelling and showcasing in the US. The event will run 4pm-8pm and it will feature performances by both artists. There will be a cover charge of $10 at the door. |
Maple Blues Awards
The Maple Blues Awards returns to beautiful Koerner Hall to honour the best in Canadian blues. Hosted by Raoul Bhaneja, the awards show will take place on Monday January 21, 7pm. This is the blues show of the year featuring live musical performances by Carlos del Junco (ON), Matt Minglewood (NS), Steve Strongman (ON), The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer (BC), Suzie Vinnick (SK/ON), Nanette Workman (QC),Harrison Kennedy (ON, pictured) and the Maple Blues Band! Stick around for the lobby party after the show featuring Chuck Jackson!

Canada’s Biggest Blues Fan Contest
Do you think you just might be the biggest blues fan in Canada? We want to see why you think so! Send us a photo of what you think best represents something great about the blues. It could be a picture of a prized record collection or a favourite instrument, a snap of you and a local blues hero, the coolest local blues hang out or the best festival you’ve attended. The photo can be new or old.
The winning submission will be shown during in the 16th Annual Maple Blues Awards show, January 21st atKoerner Hall in Toronto. And courtesy of The Toronto Blues Society, you’ll receive a most excellent prize pack: a t-shirt, CD and one-year membership

Blues Summit 6 – Early Bird Discount Available
Register now for the most important blues conference in Canada, Blues Summit 6. This biennial event brings together artists, festival directors, media, labels, managers, agents and other blues industry with both a showcase and a conference component.
The Early Bird discount is available until New Years ($99 public / $79 musician), Regular & Walk Up ($119 public / $99 musician). If you are a musician or charter member, please contact the office to access the musician rate code. There will be a delegate hotel code to access the room rate of $99. The code will be sent out with your registration confirmation.

Blues Summit 6 takes place at The Delta Chelsea Hotel (33 Gerrard St W) January 18-21, 2013. The keynote speaker for this edition of the conference is CBC/Stony Plain’s Holger Petersen. The weekend culminates with the Maple Blues Awards on January 21, which is ticketed separately through the Koerner Hall Box Office.

TBS Gladstone Series
The Toronto Blues Society presents the best in blues talent the first Thursday of each month at the Melody Bar in The Gladstone Hotel. Performances are free to the public. Start the new year off right with The Chuck Jackson Trio (pictured) on Thursday January 3.

Local visual artist Michael Titherington is displaying his oil painting portraits of local and international blues stars at The Pilot (22 Cumberland St).
