Gladstone Hotel First Thursday

 

The Toronto Blues Society presents the best in blues talent the first Thursday of each month at The Melody Bar in The Gladstone Hotel. There is no cover charge and each performance begins at 8:30pm. Arrive early to get a good table, and don’t forget to try the hotel’s tasty local food menu. The next performance is July 7, check in next week to hear the exciting announcement of who will be performing! http://www.gladstonehotel.com/food

Talent Search Deadline June 17, 5pm!

If you are a local blues musician/band submit to become one of six performing finalists for the Toronto Blues Society Talent Search through either Sonicbids (www.sonicbids.com/tbstalentsearch) OR by mailing a one sheet bio, photo, CD and cheque for $15 to the TBS office. Submissions close tomorrow, so submit today! Prizes include showcase opportunities, industry consultation and more! The date for the finals is set for noon on August 18 at Nathan Phillips Square!

The 25th annual Toronto Blues Society Women’s Blues Revue will take place at the historic Massey Hall on Saturday November 26. Watch this space each week for exciting announcements!

Calling for Emerging Artist CD Tracks!

The Toronto Blues Society is putting together an emerging Toronto artist compilation recording. If you consider yourself an emerging blues artist, please send a link to info@torontobluessociety.com. Please note that you must have original material already recorded.

Call For OCFF Artist Showcase Submissions

The Toronto Blues Society will once again put on a showcase at the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals Conference taking place in Niagara Falls, Oct 13-16. This annual conference provides an opportunity for artists to network with festivals, publications, promoters, publicists, agents and other artists. Call For International Blues Challenge Artist Submissions

The International Blues Challenge takes place in Memphis Jan 31-Feb 4. If you are a tour-ready artist interested in representing the TBS, please contact the office to learn more. Call for Volunteers

Do you have a vehicle? Do you want to volunteer with the Toronto Blues Society? The TBS is currently looking for a volunteer to distribute newsletters to clubs once per month.
