Tonight: Johnny Winter Memorial Concert

Deeply loved Texas bluesman, Johnny Winter, passed away suddenly last week after a show in Switzerland. Johnny, who was on tour at the time of his death, was scheduled to play the Picton Regent Theatre on July 23rd. In place of his performance that night, ZAPP Productions have assembled a tribute show approved by Johnny Winters’ management.

Performers will include some of the best in Canada includingJimmy Bowskill and The BarnburnersPaul Deslauriers,Rick FinesDavid GogoThe 24th Street Wailers and Pat Rush.

Blues Summit is the Toronto Blues Society’s not-to-be-missed biennial conference for all members of the blues music community (including artists, presenters, agents, festival directors, event organizers, journalists, managers, and industry representatives of all kinds).
