TBS Gladstone Series: Kevin Breit TONIGHT

The Toronto Blues Society presents the best in blues talent the first Thursday of each month at the Melody Bar in The Gladstone Hotel. Performances are free to the public, begin at 9pm, and the Gladstone has an excellent menu if you arrive for the show early! Michael Pickett will NOT be performing tonight. Instead the series will play host to a single set at 9pm by Kevin Breit(pictured).

Canadian Music Week Blues Showcase

DAWG FM and the Toronto Blues Society present the blues showcase atCanadian Music Week on Friday March 22 at Monarchs Pub in the Delta Chelsea Hotel (33 Gerrard St W). Performing live will be Steve Strongman and more TBA! canadianmusicfest.com

TBS Vocal Master Class Workshop

NEW DATE AND TIME: Sacha Williamson will host a blues vocal master class workshop at Dominion on Queen on Sunday March 17, 12:30pm-3:30pm. There will be a cover charge of $10 ($8 for members) at the door.

TBS Birthday Party

Mark your calendar for the Toronto Blues Society’s 28th birthday partyfeaturing a performance by Jack de Keyzer (pictured) that will feature material off his new CD Electric Love at the Delta Chelsea Monarchs Pub on Thursday May 30. The event will be free to the public, so members are encouraged to bring a friend! Cake will be served between sets!

MusiCounts Benefit

The JUNO concert series will include a night of blues, roots, and world music atLula Lounge on Wednesday March 27. Performing live will be blues artistsShakura S’Aida (pictured) and Steve Strongman alongside Jaron Freeman-Fox, Lemon Bucket Orkestra, Jaffa Road, , Jory Nash, Scarlett Jane and more. Proceeds from the event will go to MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS.

Benefit for Jenn Martin

The Blues community in Toronto is once again coming together to help out a friend in need. Jenn Martin has been in a serious accident that will put her out of commission for an extended period of time. A benefit concert is being put on by Blues in Toronto on Tuesday March 12 at 7:30pm in the Delta Chelsea Monarchs Pub featuring Danny Marks, Shrimp Daddy, Chris Antonik, Raoul Bhaneja, and more.
