Call For New Blues Talent 

The Toronto Blues Society announces 2010 edition of Blues Talent Search 

The Toronto Blues Society will be hosting its annual Talent Search competition at Nathan Phillips Square on Thursday August 12 during City of Toronto's "Tasty Thursdays" series.  

Submissions are open from May 1 until June 18 to new blues artists who have not made a nationally distributed or major label recording. Six finalists will be selected to perform before a panel of judges at Nathan Phillips Square where one artist will win a professional development package that includes a showcase opportunity at the Blues Summit V in January 2011, a showcase opportunity at this year's South Side Shuffle Festival, a recording session at Phase One Studios, a mentoring session with industry professionals, and more.
