Elise LeGrow

With a thunderous rasp, spellbinding style and elegant, dynamic mystique, Elise LeGrow is the Canadian powerhouse defying pop culture chronology — wowing Questlove, Betty Wright and a crew of R&B legends along the way. She melds fiery passion and sophistication with just a hint of sandpaper grit in a voice that could only belong to a star, no matter the era or genre.

LeGrow’s debut Playing Chess is drawn entirely from the catalog of Chicago’s iconic Chess label, home to pioneers like Muddy Waters, Etta James, Bo Diddley, and Chuck Berry. A mix of beloved classics and obscure rarities, the album showcases LeGrow’s stunning performances and wildly inventive arrangements.

Having toured extensively, with stops including “Later… With Jools Holland” (BBC UK), “Arte Concert” (Germany), “The Untitled Action Bronson Show” (Viceland US), and the 2018 TED Conference (Canada) LeGrow’s star quality has earned accolades across Europe and North America.

2020 saw the release of debut single “Evan” as well as a feature with dance icon Vintage Culture on “It Is What It Is”— now at over 12 million Spotify streams. LeGrow’s sophomore album, Grateful, was just released November 5, and features exclusively her original song writing, combining classic soul with her own modern style. Grateful is already making waves, earning several high-profile Spotify and Apple Music playlist features.
